A bit of history!
Skip originally set the club up in 2012 for a team of Lifeguards who he thought could compete and represent the Leisure Centre. The Lifeguarding 10:20 model refers to the time in seconds it should take to scan your area and get to your casualty – every second counts!!! He also thought the numbers would look good on a logo! The most they did was a three person relay at Carsington Duathlon except one person pulled out through injury, leaving one runner to do both legs of the run and Skip on the bike. The club was subsequently opened up to a wider audience.
